The Hotel Les Barmes de l ’Ours is located at the foot of the Bellevarde Olympic downhill run and at the heart of the Killy ski domain with its 1,000 hectares of ski slopes, 140 secure pistes at an altitude varying from 1,550 to 3,500 m, 100 ski lifts.

Tucked away at the foot of the famous Olympic ski run and just a few steps from the village centre, the hotel “Les Barmes de l’Ours” offers the venue of your dreams for ski lovers and those who enjoy serious relaxation. The entrance, finished in wood and stone, exudes an atmosphere of peace, quiet and comfort : the promise of an enjoyable stay. This is a 4 star Luxe hotel as France do not have a 5 star category so this is the highest grading available.

Bedrooms and suites
Luxurious cocoons equipped with all conveniences :
LCD screen, satellite TV, Internet connection... All suites include a jacuzzi bath and the more exclusive suites a fireplace.

The restaurants
Are open to non-residents and we highly recommend the Rotisserie. They have lunchtime menus for skiers, and in the evening, a choice of regional specialities, menus and à la carte. They have a huge choice of starters; you choose your main course, huge choice of cheeses to help yourself to and the same with dessert. Their wine list is extensive and despite paying slightly more to eat here, we feel the standard of the food warrants it.
There is also the gastronomique restaurant called ‘La Table de L’Ours’ within the hotel.

With its pool, jacuzzi, sauna, hammam, balneotherapy facilities, the hotel spa devotes 800 m2 to your wellbeing and beauty. There are many treatments available that are featured in our Information Pack in each property so you can sit and browse the list and work out what you would like to go for.

A 3 star hotel in the centre of town, this hotel is still run by the Mattis Family and dates back as far as 1948 when the family first opened their doors to the public. Today the Tsanteleina Hotel still offers quality accommodation and a superior service along with a warm and personalised welcome. We adore the hotel and know the family work very hard to deliver a truly wonderful stay for all their guests.

Its restaurant La Table des Neiges is highly regarded in the village for its very fine cuisine and non residents are always welcome.

Two views from rooms are possible depending on the category you choose: one with a view of the village, the other overlooking the magnificent slopes and mountains of Solaise and Bellevarde (where the 2009 FIS World Alpine Skiing Championships will take place).

Booking deposit and cancellation policy
Deposit of 30% to process the booking and block the rooms. Deposit deducted from the final bill under conditions (art. 1590 of the French Civil Code). Should cancellation or modification notice be received less than 30 days prior arrival, initial booking requirements will be fully due to and charged by Hotel Tsanteleina. We advise you to subscribe to a specific insurance to hedge yourselves and guarantee the total payment of the initial and firm booking.

Hotel Restaurant.
This has become a favourite of ours for birthdays or special occasions. It is not often you think of using a hotel restaurant for dining out if you are a non-resident but this one welcomes anyone to their bar & dining room. The food is traditional using local products and creativity. Tables are furnished with fine wine glasses, thick table linens and flowers or candles – very important to set the tone of the evening in my opinion (DW).

All the hotels in Val d’Isere are centrally located (you might have gathered that!) and the Savoyarde is very close to the Christiania so again, close to the slopes. It offers beautifully decorated rooms, excellent French cuisine and a range of relaxation facilities.

There are 44 rooms with 1 suite and 1 apartment all equipped with your comfort in mind.

The restaurant offers very good French food and often thought of as some of the best food in town. We have been there a few times and we have never been disappointed.

The fitness center houses a jacuzzi, sauna, solarium, steam room, indoor exercise machines, massage facilities.
