Non-Skiing Activities in Val d’Isere

We have lots of alternative activities for any non skiers, as follows:

1. Leisure centre
We have a spectacular leisure complex thanks to the World Championships in 2009. A swimming, climbing, gym, work out rooms, squash, sauna, Jacuzzi, steam rooms are all available under one roof.  The facility is located under the Face on the Route de Balme and open daily for all activities.     
        
2. Snowmobile/quads
Available through Alaska Mononeige from 1-5 pm daily on the mountains. Call +33 (0) 6 15 19 46 29.     
        
3. Ice driving
We have a circuit in the lower sector of town offering ice driving in vehicles, snowmobiles, karting. Call +33 (0)4 79 06 21 40 OR +33 (0)6 11 05 42 77.     
        
4. Ice skating
At the foot of the Solaise skiing area is an ice-rink open throughout the winter until March from 2pm-7pm (10pm on Wednesdays). Cost is 5.50€ per adult, 4.30€ for under 12s. There are price offers for 7 day entry and a discount if you have your own skates.     
        
5. Husky sleighs

6. Parapente
Accompanied flights for beginners, or intermediate and solo for the more professional glider. Call for availability and cost: tel +33 (0)6 09 46 64 78   

7. Parcours Adventure

The equivalent to Go Ape in the snow!  After skiing, have an adventure in the trees https://www.parcoursvalaventure.com All participants should wear ski suits, ski gloves and shoes suitable to walk on the snow. For children from 4 years old but a parent going on the trees with them is mandatory up to 8 years old Open by reservation only so call on +33763678219

8. Paragliding
Take a bird's eye view of the Espace Killy with Philippe de Villenoisy. Call +33(0)6 07 22 43 97. Costs are €80 for Val D’Isere or for Val and Tignes its €100.     
        
9. Snow shoe outings
A great way to see the mountains, Pascal Bertres offers outings for all levels, 1 or half day excursions. Call +33 (0)4 79 06 05 14 or +33 (0) 6 13 85 64 77.     
        
10. Yoga
Charlotte Saint Jean offers yoga classes throughout the week.

11. Beauty treatments & hairdresser
The Carita L'eden institute is now in its own premises in Val Village,  offering a relaxing environment with a full range of treatments including facials, body treatments, massages and waxing.  They also have a full service Redken hairdresser with ample staff to cut, blow dry, dye, highlight....whatever you need. 
They are open daily from 10 am - 8pm.

12. Steam/saunas/swimming and hotel Spa's
Several hotels offer Spa facilities for non residents as well as residents. The Mourra, Hotel Christiania, Tsanteleina, Blizzard and Barmes de L'Ours all have facilities that are payable on entry. Appointments necessary for treatments. These can be booked on arrival to resort so don't hesitate to ask for help.

Child Care

Val d'Isere caters for children from the age of 3 in créche facilities. At the Rond Point, you will find the Chalet des Aiglons for children aged from 3 - 13 years old.  Chalet des Aiglons | Accueil.   

For children under this age, we can help find a qualified, registered nanny working in resort. Our clients have used Jelly & Icecream, for private nannies for children of all ages Jelly and Ice-Cream Limited
