Val d'Isere to the rescue - FIS racing from cancelled Beaver Creek

03/12/2016

The world cup ski racing circuit has come to town so its lights, camera and lycra all round!   Due to lack of snow in Beaver Creek, FIS awarded Val d'isere the mens racing schedule instead.  This means we will stage World Cup events for the next 3 weekends.

This Friday, 2nd December racing kicks off at midday.  Men's Super G in La Daille on the legendary OK slope (our favourite).

6pm, prize giving in town and bib cermony for the following days racing.  Any ski fan should go to this as every racer picks up his bib.  Get close up and see them for longer than a second, which is the usual time frame when watching them racing.

Saturday, 3rd December; 10.45 am, Men's downhill in La Daille, OK slope.
6 pm :prize giving in town and bib cermony for the following days racing.

Sunday 4th December; 10 am 1st run Men's Giant slalom

1pm, 2nd run Men's Giant slalom.

2pm, ceremony at the finish line in La Daille.

We are guessing all the men will stay in town for the week, train and race here again for our usual weekend, Criterium Premier Neige.  Keep your eyes peeled for them.
